Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) has a high mortality and morbidity in the world. C-reaction protein (CRP) and neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) have been demonstrated to be the independent risk factors of some cardiovascular diseases. In our study, we aimed to find out the relationship between CRP and NLR levels and the severity of patients with ICH.
This is a cross sectional study. Patients' basic characteristics and laboratory examination results, including the concentration of CRP, white blood cell, neutrophil and lymphocyte were taken. Chi- square test and logistic regression were used to analyze the relationship between these inflammation markers and clinical severity of ICH.
High CRP level was independently associated with poorer clinical outcome and higher in-hospital death in patients with ICH.
